Initiatives taken by the government :-
- Narendra modi, our honorable prime minister, launched a scheme 'Beti bachao, beti padhao' in more than 100 districts across the country.
- He also launched 'Sukanya Samriddhi Account' so that the parents of a girl do not face problems while meeting the expenses for their child's education and marriage.
- The Hindu Succession Act gives daughters an equal right to their ancestral property.
- The Department of Post has been contributing significantly in spreading awareness regarding save girl child by issuing stamps and post cards.
